"Marysa allowed participants to move at their own pace and develop their own style and she is not only a talented binder and teacher, but an artist as well. Her interpretation of bindings and finishing inspired me to develop books into art."

Whether you’re looking for a serious commitment or simply want to learn something new and have fun while doing it, there’s nothing more important than being taught by an experienced Arts & Crafts Instructor. I’ve been offering my services to people of all ages since 1993, and I’m here to give you the personalised attention you deserve so that you can reach your full potential.

My approach to teaching is that I will show you how to make and then you do it with me keeping a close eye. I encourage the taking of notes and photos and videos as this really helps people to use the techniques when they are not here. The classes are small between 2-6 people usually so it means that you can take it at your own pace and there won’t be lots of people competing for attention and others will be doing their own projects. This means too that you learn from each other. For example one person may be making a box while another is sewing up a book and another is working on a collection of magazines. CORONAVIRUS UPDATE:

With the current situation, I am now holding my classes as online group classes which are sociable, interactive and learning environments of up to 7 people.  Please get in touch to find out more, no equipment necessary as you will receive materials and tools as part of the offering.

Classes and individual tuition are usually held at Otter Bookbinding in Midhurst
